Fits perfectly in my 1974 Beetle. Very easy to install. Unscrew the old lock, insert and screw this one in. The quality is very good, locks perfectly. The lock itself is made of metal so no chance of breaking. Even if you do not lock it, it keeps glove box door closed securely. The lock looks pretty close to original. Unlike many replacement products for VW bugs, this one is perfect. Overall an excellent replacement part.
